Eagles Flying - Image Eagles Flying Raptor Centre is a day out for all the family. There are many other species there besides birds - and you can pet most of them in the Touch Zoo. Irish Raptor Research Centre.

Eagles Flying, Ballymote, County Sligo

The sanctuary is home to a wide variety of birds of prey. The shows consist of a display of many birds flying to the trainer, over the heads of the audience. So close, the wings will brush your head! It is highly entertaining and informative.

Did you ever dream of  Eagles swooping only inches above your head or having a bird of prey landing on your bare hand?

Eagles Flying, with more than 100 raptors Ireland´s largest Bird of Prey Centre, makes your dreams come true. Our unique training methods make it possible to allow our visitors to have the closest contact with raptors. You can enjoy this  most outstanding experience every day, when attending the Bird Shows. They start at 11 and 3. You do not need any special knowledge – only the physical capability to hold such a bird on your hand. Come and see the “Bird Whisperers“ at work!  It is understood that there are also incredible photo-opportunities.

Is there anything you ever wanted to know about birds of prey? Come and ask! Our scientists will give you all the information you want.

However, birds of prey do not like a cuddle! For that we have various animals in our Touch-Zoo. Get your pockets picked by Grizzly, the raccoon or get a kiss from Rosie our 350 kg pig or ...
