Breffni Family Resource Centre
Breffni Family Resource Centre is based in the heart of Carrick-on-Shannon and offers many services and supports to individuals and families, as well as a professional childcare facility.
Our facilities include a Creche, Preschool, Breffni Youth Cafe, Oasis Breffni Women's Shed, Breffni Men's Group, Saol Nua (social group for adults with learning difficulties), Over 55's workshops, Memory Cafe, Social Prescribing, Family Support Worker, , GROW Mental Health Weekly clinic and much more.
We also run courses such as Yoga, Art, Organic Gardening, First Aid.

Oasis Breffni Women's Shed Newsletter(29th/Nov - 6th/Dec)
Oasis Breffni Women's Shed is a women's group who meet every Friday at Breffni Family Resource Centre from 11am - 1pm. Different workshops are organised throughout the year. For more information please call 071 9622566.
Breffni Men's Group(26th/Nov - 10th/Dec)
Breffni Men's Group meet every Tuesday at Breffni FRC from 11am - 1pm. A varied amount of workshops are arranged throughout the year. For more information please call 071 9622566.
Saol Nua(27th/Nov - 10th/Dec)
Saol Nua is a Social Group for adults with learning difficulties, anxiety disorders, mental health issues, depression and mood disorders and is based at Breffni Family Resource Centre in Carrick-on-Shannon. A fun and varied programme of activities, workshops, trips and courses are organised throughout the year.
The aim of the group is for members to participate within the community at a social level, alleviate isolation and to build social networks in a supportive, structured, fun and safe environment. For more information please call 071 9622566.
Carrick on Shannon Baby & Toddler Group(5th/Dec - 19th/Dec)
Come along and join out Baby & Toddler Group every Thursday from 11.30am - 1pm at Breffni FRC. Lots of toys, fun and interaction with other children and parents.
Sensory Santa(19th/Dec - 20th/Dec)
We are now taking bookings for Sensory Santa. Sensory Santa will be visiting Breffni FRC on Thursday, 19th December from 2pm - 9pm and Friday 20th December from 10am - 2pm. For bookings contact Sarah on 086 066 3789. This is a quiet, calm experience for people with sensory difficulties and additional needs and their families.
Proposed / Possible Training Opportunity in Hairdressing(26th/Nov - 31st/Jan)
We are looking for anyone with an expression of interest in a proposed / possible training opportunity in Hairdressing. This course would be certified QQI Level 5 and would be suitable for people aged 25+.
