History & Heritage in Carrick on Shannon
Performing arts centre art gallery recitals drama. The Dock is also home to the award-winning Leitrim Design House showcasing the arts and crafts of Leitrim artists. It also features a full service coffee dock/bar for refreshments.
The Dock is located in the beautiful 19th Century former Courthouse building, overlooking the majestic river Shannon, which has been wonderfully restored into Leitrim's first integrated centre for the arts.
The Dock houses a 100+ seat performance space, three art galleries, artists studios, cafe bar, an arts education room and it is home to The Leitrim Design House. The Centre offers something for everyone, from performances and exhibitions, to classes and workshops. It is a place where art is made, where people can come to reflect or meet others, where bands might rehearse, a place for new and challenging projects to happen and a place of entertainment where people have fun!

Arts and Crafts a living culture; County Leitrim has a deep and rich
heritage in the areas of arts, craft and culture. Artists, craftspeople
and visitors have been drawn to the county because of it’s natural beauty,
its mixed land and riverscape, its heritage, and its warm people, all of
which offer powerful resources to creative people.
